WOL3D Shark Tank India Negotiations & Funding:
Anupam was the first shark to bow out, as although he liked the business, he didn’t see where it was going from this stage on. Vineeta commented that this was a risky business due to new tech trends; therefore, she went out. Namita wasn’t confident that the founders were capable of creating this category, as they seemed all over the place; therefore, she also exited negotiations.
Aman was interested in the pen and wanted to focus on that part of the business, aiming to make it a big D2C brand. Peyush was also interested but wanted to focus on the other side of the business, seeing a big opportunity to sell Filament on the B2B market. The founders hoped for both sharks to come together, but they disagreed, wanting to take the business in different directions.
Due to the feeling that the entrepreneurs were not decisive about the direction they wanted to move, Peyush exited the deal. Aman made the first and only offer of ₹80 lakhs for 2% and the rest as debt. The entrepreneurs countered with ₹80 Lakhs for 1.5% and the rest as debt, which Aman refused. Eventually, the company accepted the deal of ₹80 Lakhs for 2% of the company and the rest as debt, giving them a valuation of ₹40 Crores.
