The Conscious Chemist Shark Tank India Negotiations & Funding:
Namita Thapar was the first Shark to opt out because she believes that the Conscious team is confused about future strategies, and going offline could be suicidal for the company, given their limited runway of 5-6 months. Vineeta also chose to opt out because of issues with distribution and the team’s inability to scale effectively on e-commerce platforms, despite having good products.
Amit mentioned his inability to find financial viability and questioned why consumers were not talking about their products, leading him to opt out. Aman also chose to opt out, advising that they should hire a super salesman to effectively sell their superior products. Anupam was unimpressed with the future strategies presented and questioned how the company would grow. He suggested that they should seek funding from Lotus if they want to survive and revive their business. Lotus offered them 2.5 crores at an 18 crores valuation.
