NeuraSim Shark Tank India Pitch:
NeuraSim is an Indian startup which appeared on Shark Tank India Season 4. The founders shared that 1 out of 100 people need vision therapy. They made a VR wearable BeeVee to help with vision therapy. The product is gamified and immersive. BeeVee gives 2-6 times better results than traditional vision therapy. The founders sought an investment of ₹1 Crore in exchange for 8% equity valuing the business at ₹12.5 Crores.
NeuraSim’s Financials & Revenue during Shark Tank India:
NeuraSim is trying to solve vision diseases like Amblyopia, which is also known as lazy eye; it is a vision development disorder where one eye tails to achieve normal visual acuity, usually due to abnormal visual input during childhood. The company is pre-revenue, but they have helped over 800 patients so far. The company was at the pre-revenue stage at the time of their pitch.
NeuraSim has a co-founder, Pradeep Walia, who resides in the United States. The company has more than ₹10 Crore grants to develop BeeVee. It has 76 variations of core therapy. The device also trains both eyes to work together. Headsets weigh 180 Grams. Their session is 20 minutes long.
NeuraSim’s device will be directly sold to clinics, which would pay a one-time cost of ₹4.5 Lakhs. The founders added that they will also start charging for licenses once they have established a proper base. Estimated pricing for home therapy session would be at ₹200 per session.
Dr. Ramesh has 33% equity in the company; They developed the device with Polish partners, which also has 33% equity. Pradeep has 25% equity, and Girish has 8% equity. The founders have raised ₹45 Lakhs at ₹8 Crore’s valuation. The founders added that their technology is patented.
NeuraSim Shark Tank India Negotiations & Funding:
Vineeta went out due to too many silent partners and small market size. Peyush suggest the founders to strengthen a team but he decided not to invest. Anupam felt the same as Peyush, so he went out as well. Aman went out due to business being too early. Namita went out due to legal implications for this product.
