Deni Bikes Shark Tank India Pitch:
Deni Bikes is an Indian startup which was founded by a 16-year-old Meet Deore. He was part of a special episode of Young Entrepreneurs, and he went to the tank to present his electric bike, Deni Alpha. The founder shared that this bike was affordable with a price point of ₹40,000. The bike is completely made in India. He sought an investment of ₹30 Lakhs in exchange for 10% equity in his company valuing the business into ₹3 Crores.
Meet shared that the entire structure and placement of components on Deni Alpha was done by him. He then took it to fabricators to get the frame in place. He added that he also had a project which was an electric go kart which he made when he was just 10 years old.
Deni Bikes is a solution to the problem of electric motorcycles at an affordable price. After Test Riding, Aman concluded that there is lot of work which needs to be done on the Deni Alpha. He pointed out issues with suspension & Manoeuvrability.
Deni Bike’s Financials & Revenue during Shark Tank India:
Deni Bike’s closest competitor is E Luna which the founder explained focuses on the same market he is targeting. He added that the majority of the competition only has low-speed bikes at this price point therefore, he is playing in a different market than them. E-Luna is projecting to sell 1 lakh unit in FY24-25.
Deni Alpha has a range of 75 Km and the battery charges to full in 3-4 hours. The founder shared during the discussion is that he is aiming to get into BITS, Pilani as he wants to keep working on this project as he pursues his higher education.
The founder’s plan on funding is to use it for more research and development. He wants to improve the design of Deni Alpha upon securing the deal.
Deni Bikes Shark Tank India Negotiations & Funding:
Aman was the first shark to go out of Deni Bikes as he thought the founder should focus on his studies before pursuing this business. Namita agreed with Aman therefore, she went out as well. Anupam suggested that the founder should consider not competing university if he sees success in this. However, He decided not to invest.
Vineeta liked the founder and appreciated his focus on the market. However, she thought it was too early for investment and ₹30 lakhs wouldn’t be nearly enough to get this to the next level. Peyush liked the clarity of the founder but still decided he is not going to invest. He wished best of luck to the founder and Deni Bikes left the Tank without a deal.

How is Deni Bikes doing after Shark Tank India?
Our research in the Deni Bikes revealed that while they did not get a deal on Shark Tank India, Their appearance on the show gave them nationwide exposure and appreciation for the founder. It opened many doors like few weeks after the episode, Meet had an opportunity to visit EMotorad’s office and facilities to learn more about the market.
