Auli Lifestyle is an internet-first brand that offers natural skincare products. Auli was born because the founder spent a long time researching good skincare techniques and after receiving appreciation from friends and people around her. They have served over 15,000 people in the last 3 years and are available on all marketplaces. Almost 57% of their customers are repeat customers, and for them, it’s Auli or nothing. Aishwarya was not just there for the money but also for mentoring from the sharks and access to their network. All formulations are done in-house.
They had 15 employees at the time of the pitch. They made 35 lakhs in FY19-20, 1.2 crore the following year, and this year’s ARR stands at 2.5 crores. Their sales come from the website, word of mouth, and social media, with 15% coming from marketplaces. Their gross margin is at 80%, and net profit is at 10%. They have raised 1.40 lakh at a 10 crore valuation and have diluted 25% of the company.
Anupam goes out because he sees Aishwarya as an influencer but not as a businesswoman. Peyush adds that it’s going to require a lot more capital and goes out of the deal as well. Ashneer appreciates that the product is great, but he thinks Aishwarya needs a co-founder to which she refused. Ashneer goes out, citing that she needs a co-founder to grow this business. Aman goes out, saying that if it was a little bigger, it would have been a good investment.
Namita adds that Aishwarya can go forward without a co-founder as long as she gets the guidance, so Namita offers 75 lakhs for 20% equity. The entrepreneur refuses to give 20%. Namita counters at 18%, but Aishwarya asks if they can come to an agreement at 15%. Namita accepts the offer, and they close the deal.

Our research of Auli Lifestyle revealed that the deal with Namita went through, and the brand is thriving post-Tank! As of October 2023, Auli Skincare has over 60 thousand Instagram followers, 52 thousand likes on Facebook, and 20 employees to support their growth. While there isn’t much information available on their financials in 2023, given the reach, it would be safe to assume that Auli Skincare was one of the top investments made on Shark Tank India Season 1.
