Sid07 Shark Tank Pitch:
Sid07 founder Siddarth Gupta considers innovation his superpower. His company has made 11 inventions, including 3 granted patents, 2 pending patents, and 6 more patents in the pipeline. They have items like the “Drill Duster” to protect you from dust while drilling. Sid has a vision to offer the world unique products that will have an impact on people’s lives beyond his existence.
Their total sales for the last year amounted to ₹14 lakh, and their sales for the last month were around ₹1 lakh. The sharks questioned the merits of the invention. Ashneer went on to insult Sid, mentioning that he is wasting his degree and life. Aman said that he was confused. Anupam said that his inventions are copycats and added that it’s not a business but a tinkering lab. With that comment, he decided to go out. Vineeta also decided to go out but appreciated Sid for inspiring people that there is life beyond IIT.
Aman commented that Sid is self-obsessed and not an inventor, and this is not a business. With that, he also decided to go out. Peyush asked if, rather than solving these odd problems, Sid would be willing to work on the problems assigned to him. Sid agreed to that, so Peyush offered ₹25 lakh for 75% equity, with the rest being a loan to the company. This offer was non-negotiable. Aman said that he would give the same offer for 65% of the company and made remarks that Peyush is giving Sid a job. After giving it some thought, Sid accepted Peyush’s offer.
How is Sid07 doing after Shark Tank? Let’s find out!
How is Sid07 doing after Shark Tank India?
Our research into the company revealed that Sid07’s deal with Peyush closed, and they partnered with Lenskart to work on inventions. Reports suggest that after Shark Tank aired, the “Drill Duster” was a hit, and they received inquiries about the product not only from India but also from international customers. It appears that partnering with Peyush was the right choice after all, as Sid was able to bring the “Drill Duster” to life with that funding. Now, they have two more inventions that are live on their website. Given the demand for the product, they deliver internationally and are continuously innovating to bring more products to the market. Their products can be purchased directly from their website at Sid07.com
