Vold Energy Drink Shark Tank India Negotiations & Funding:
Amit was the first shark to go out, citing he didn’t see depth in business or the product. He also could not make sense of the valuation; therefore, he steps out of negotiations. Anupam commented that this is a passion and a hobby but not a business yet; therefore, he also goes out. Namita recommended that the company needs another co-owner who can help with marketing and business acumen, but she wasn’t impressed with the revenue of the company; therefore, she goes out.
Vineeta suggests the company focus on Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities and use social media for marketing, but she felt like the business wasn’t investable at that stage; therefore, she also goes out. Aman liked the owner and his persistence; therefore, he gave the first and only offer of ₹10 Lakhs for 10% of the company and the rest as debt at 12% interest at a 2-year term. The owner was hesitant to take that offer, so Aman revised it to ₹10 Lakhs for 10% and ₹40 lakhs as debt at 3% royalty until ₹40 Lakhs is paid back.
