In his pitch, Vineet mentioned that India has a population of 7 crore disabled people and only 0.4% of those are employed.
Seeking a ₹30 Lakhs investment on Shark Tank India for a 1% equity stake, valuing the company at ₹30 Crores, Atypical Advantage had previously raised ₹1 Crore at a ₹7 Crores valuation, garnering support from 14 angel investors who collectively hold 15% equity. They started in 2020 and have three verticals in their business. The first one focuses on Performing artists like comedians, dancers, etc. The second one consists of Atypical Artist, which includes painters, etc., and lastly, they have inclusive hiring where there are freelance and corporate opportunities. Their top employer is Amazon, where they placed over 60 full-time people. They are expecting to be at ARR ₹2.5 crores by the end of the year.
Atypical Advantage Shark Tank Negotiations:
Anupam gave the first offer of ₹30 Lakh but at a previous valuation of ₹7 crores which would dilute 4.29% of the company. Aman asks if he and Namita can join Anupam’s offer as well, which he accepts. Peyush was interested in the company, but he thinks that he has too many advisors, so he needed a bigger share so that he can contribute directly to the company, so he offered ₹1 crore for 12% of the company. Vineeta goes out, citing that there are other good offers on the table that could help Vineet better.
Vineet counters the sharks at 1.2 Crore for 10%, with all sharks coming together on the deal. He also drafts another counter for Peyush where he asks him to contribute ₹90 Lakh out of that. Anupam disagrees with that and asks if he could come in the same percentage as Peyush. Peyush refuses that and asks if he would like to come alone in this deal, and he is okay to do ₹1 crore for 10%. Anupam didn’t like that Peyush wanted the biggest seat at the table and went out of the deal. Peyush goes out as well after that blunder.
Aman and Namita were still interested in the company and offered ₹30 Lakh for 3% of the company, which Vineet accepted, and they shook hands on that.
